In today’s interview we’ve had an honor talking with Matthew Mykytka AKA Baby4hunnid
Baby4hunnid is a New Jersey artist who tends to see a goal as not being only an artist but to being a leader for his followers. He was influenced by locals artists around his area in New Jersey and decided that one day he will become an artist on soundcloud. All he had to do was believe in himself and have the confidence that he can do this and make it happen. He believes if anyone does this technique anyone can make anything possible no matter what. This young musician for sure have something to say and a really bright future in the music industry.
Lisa : First off, what is it that first drew you to creating music?
Baby4hunnid : What first drew me to creating music was the culture of it all. I had the confidence that I’m able to do this and to make it happen. And the result was I made it possible. SO i believe if anyone feels that they can’t do anything they need to say to themselves I can do this. I can make this happen.
Lisa : How would you describe Baby4hunnid sound?
Baby4hunnid : I would describe Baby4hunnid’s (my) sound as that I’m getting there. I’m still learning the mixing process a little bit, etc.
Lisa : Let’s get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?
Baby4hunnid : To be honest, just doing this whole thing. I’d have to say that because I never thought I would be able to do this or enjoy it. It’s just the passion and the work that is fun. But overall craziest is when “No Designer” and “Demons” just came out of nowhere and people enjoyed it.
Lisa : What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?
Baby4hunnid : To be honest being original. I find it hard for me to sometimes be original because I’ve always said to myself and other people “Don’t be the next top person in the game, Be the first you in the game” and that comes from me. I wouldn’t ask the music industry to change one thing because it changes overtime. New artists come in the game and they revolutionize the whole thing. Also I see the future is very bright for the music industry with all this talent coming up.
Lisa : Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the “catalyst” for you to start writing music? Tell us about it.
Baby4hunnid : Just growing up all the artists and how much the culture evolved it draws people into the whole community and I wanted to be a part of that community but make my part of that community my version.
Lisa : If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?
Baby4hunnid : I’d have to share with Mags & $tacks (Yung Mags and Sammy $tacks) because I’ve seen some videos of their shows and I’m like wow. These guys can entertain and hold a show. And I’d absolutely like to perform with them one day.
Lisa : You have been through a lot in your life. Are you able to share these experiences in your songs?
Baby4hunnid : My recent song “Demons” had the most meaning although “No Designer” had meaning to it like, for example, I wrote that song because I wanted to share that you don’t need fancy clothes like Gucci, Versacci, etc to create songs. But however, in “Demons” I based it off of my struggles in the past and how now that I’m
Lisa : Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it!
Baby4hunnid : My latest song “Demons” was my biggest challenge. It was my biggest challenge because ever since my first “No Designer” released it got a lot of recognition. I also wanted to prove to people that this isn’t just 5 minutes of fame or otherwise a better way to say it more like a one hit wonder I’m not into all of that. I’m also not into all of that because I want to show people that I can keep going and share what I have to offer to the community.
Lisa : Tell us about your most recent single Demons
Baby4hunnid : My most recent song is called “Demons” and to be honest I felt like I could have done better. But it’s just a matter of how much you enjoy making the song. And that’s basically all that matters as an artist having fun, never giving up, etc. It was basically about all the struggles I’ve had and how right now I’m overcoming them.
Lisa : Who was your biggest inspiration when you were growing that perhaps helped you pave your way and decision to make music your career?
Baby4hunnid : My inspiration… well the local artists in my area of New Jersey where I come from. One artist in particular goes by “Lil Flex” I mean he’s been doing it longer than me. So I remember when his track 30 came out. Also he is very talented and not only that he has the charisma.
Lisa : What does the future look like for Baby4hunnid
Baby4hunnid : What the future looks like for Baby4hunnid. Wow that’s a great question anything is possible especially at this moment of time. But the thing is and this just doesn’t go out for me but for anyone if you keep working hard good things will happen.
